Coping with rosacea
Living with rosacea can be frustrating at times, but don’t give up hope. While living with a long-term condition can be difficult, there are ways of coping with the symptoms.
Speak to your GP If you think you might have rosacea, visit your local GP to get a diagnosis. Knowing if you have rosacea will help you effectively treat your condition and starting early in your prognosis could help prevent more serious rosacea symptoms from developing.
Continue your treatment It may be tempting to stop your treatment when your symptoms start to clear up, but resist the urge. When you find a treatment plan that works for you be sure to follow it carefully and persevere.
Know your triggers Minimise your symptoms and future flare-ups by avoiding all food and experiences that are known triggers. If you need help identifying your triggers, try keeping a daily activity diary.
Visit your doctor if you have any questions about managing rosacea or are experiencing any side effects from your current treatment.
